"It's just that we're both so busy..."

It never fails! I stroll into the coffee shop to do work and sit dwn right next to the couple breaking up. It wasn't until after I sat down looking happy and satisfied with my skim latte that I noticed thatthey were both crying. Smooth Liz, smooth. I'm sure they were thrilled that a stranger was there for the end of their relationship.

In other news - Katie found a dress for her wedding this weekend - which was really fun and, oh my gosh, pretty pretty pretty.

Okay, I'm off to do that work, now that the breakup is over.

The Eye of Pink

Jack has pink eye. He went in to get his kennel cough booster and I, in passing, mentioned to a VERY pregnant veterinarian that he'd had a little "shmoopy stuff build-up" on his right eye. She kindly offered to stay later and take a look at his eye (this is when Jack's unimaginable cuteness gets the job done - who could standto let a dog that cute with a potential shmoopy stuff build up go back out into the world?). She did, and he does have the eye of pink. Just one, his right one. I, naturally, made this about me within 15 seconds: "Did I do it? What did I do wrong?" She assured me (although I think I saw her roll her eyes so only Jack could see) that iit was fine, she wasn't going to make me give him back, and all I had to do was put some drops in his eyes every day, "just like this," as she somehow hypnotized him and dropped them into his eye like it was no big deal. I can't wait to try. He loves it when I go at him with medication. We have a good history.

This brings up my other task tonight though: taxes. Added to my long line of questions for the IRS is this one: Can I deduct my dog's unreimbursed medical expenses? Please?!
